Life at The Devonshire
Our focus is on the person — our Resident ‒ their feelings, wishes, likes and dislikes, their unique life experiences and interests, and how they would like to spend the day.
Each Resident's Care Plan is personalised and every consideration is given to their daily quality of life. We get to know our Residents well, walk in their shoes, live in their reality and validate their feelings.
Every effort is made to ensure our Residents receive individual care and service, including prompt attention to the little things in life that are so important.

We all love having visitors
Visitors are welcome at any time at the Devonshire and are invited to share a meal (as long as the Chef has some warning!).
Contact us to find out more about the Devonshire Dementia Care Home and its services, and to arrange for a visit.
A visit to see the home during the Covid-19 pandemic will require you to wear full PPE and follow Govt guidelines and infection control protocols.
A newsletter is sent regularly to all Residents, and their families, advocates, and friends of the Devonshire Dementia Care Home. The newsletter is packed with news and photographs about our Residents, the staff, activities and 'life at the Devonshire'.
Or if you would like a brochure, please click here or on the button below, complete the form and we will be happy to send you one.
We send out an annual questionnaire to all family and friends of our Residents and review the results very carefully.
We are proud to share their comments to the question:
“What was the most important reason for choosing the Devonshire?”
“Location and reputation”
“Warmth, proximity, positive attitude towards dementia care”
“Wrap around care, fresh air drives”
“Homely atmosphere - not clinical - and caring staff. ”
"Could not be happier with the care during the pandemic"
"I don’t mind driving the extra 30 minutes as this home understands Mum’s needs"
